Ok, now I arrive at that point where I’m starting to get nervous… I packed all my stuff, but every two minutes there occure new things to me that I´ve forgot. I hope everything will be fine at the end. Tomorrow morning at 10 o´clock my plane will take off from Brussels to New York..

Yesterday I´ve been in Rom for one day with my grandmother and her husband. It was a really nice day and Rom is such a beautiful city, I loved it! One day was short and a bit exhausting, but it was worth it. Now, there are just 2 days left before my trip will start and I´m starting to get a bit nervous. But everything is alright.

Today I will start my blog. I created it to inform anyone who is interested about my trip to Haiti this year and other trips who will certainly follow.
In one week and one day will already be the day of my departure. Firstly I´m going to fly to New York, stay there for one night, then take the plane to Port-au-Prince where Natacha and Audel, members of Haiti Care, are going to pick me up. I will live with them for one month and try to take good photos to make a story about the poverty and the injustice there.
Why I´m doing that? Because I want to combine my dedication to photography with social commitment. In other words: I want to help with my photographs. I want to show to those people here, who complain day-to-day about their hard lives, that there are other places in the world where the people have nothing and unfairness is part of every day´s live.
Special thanks to the members of the charity organisation Haiti Care, Michael and Barbara Kaasch, Natacha and Audel who are supporting me in my project.
