Because words alone are not enough to tell a story, we need pictures to fill this gap. When words deliver us information, the pictures are showing us emotions and feelings - both combined, will create a story that is greater then the sum of its parts. Alice Smeets, a young photographer from Belgium, has decided to dedicate her life to show the stories life has written with her camera. Her strong social commitment and intuitive way of dealing with people make her overcome social and personal boarders in order to get realy close to the core of the subject that matters.
